Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Support residents with memory care needs through engaging activities and companionship.
- Uphold resident rights and ensure dignity and respect in all interactions.
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities by providing direct support tailored to their unique needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident status.
Requirements
- Experience in nursing homes or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with senior care practices, memory care techniques, and patient monitoring is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
