The Instructional Technology Advisor is the lead system administrator for the college’s LMS platform, and facilitates instructional technology training and implementation for faculty and staff. The Instructional Technology Advisor is a key member of the college’s Teaching and Learning Center, partnering with faculty to promote an active, responsive, and inclusive learning environment. This position is a full-time, 12 month, benefit-eligible position, and reports directly to the Senior Manager of Library and Instructional Support.
Preferred
Experience working with various online learning management systems at an educational intuition, e.g. Canvas. Experience supporting teaching and learning in an educational institution. Bilingual a plus.

Salary & Benefits:
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $48,363 - $59,970/annual - depending on education and experience
- Full Salary Range: $48,363 - $71,577/annual - depending on education and experience
- Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
- Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day and over Spring Break)

- Assist faculty and staff using the learning management system (LMS)
- Schedule and facilitate instructional technology training for faculty and staff.
- Work with and support other aspects of the Teaching and Learning Center, including LMS training and troubleshooting, placement testing, and proctoring support.
- Assist with faculty professional development planning and implementation
- Works directly with faculty to develop instructional resource sharing in the learning management system.
- Research and implement instructional technologies needed to create courses that equate to the in-person offering, including audio, video, lecture capture, engagement, etc.
- Assists with converting and creating accessible materials for online, videoconference, hybrid, and in-person courses
- Provide training and resources for new and emerging technology including mobile applications, new student engagement tools, and ways to use existing software more effectively
- Actively participate and serve on groups related to educational technology as needed
- Provide instructional technology training for faculty Monitor equipment and resources to maintain usability with new and existing software and hardware
- Manage the LMS ticketing system, monitoring and responding to tickets from all users
- Create documented instructions regarding services
- Support the setup and execution of course evaluations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Specific online learning knowledge and skills related to curriculum development, instructional processes, instructional design, assessment and professional development.
- Ability to work one-on-one, as a presenter, and as part of a team assisting faculty and staff.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage tasks.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently when needed.
- Skill in the use of educational technology as well as all College related technical systems and software, i.e. LearningManagements Systems, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Ability to work in both PC and Macintosh platforms.
- Superior communication and collaboration skills, including evidence of a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with instructors and staff.
- Experience with multi-media authoring programs, , current and emerging social networking tools, HTML and web development tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with multiple project management responsibilities.
