Position Summary
Positions at this level are responsible for performing a variety of entry level trade duties related to routine maintenance repair, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, grounds, and other related tasks. This is a temporary (May thru August), full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Skills in safe work practices including operating hand and power tools correctly.
- Performs basic maintenance and repair.
- Operates college vehicles.
- Performs various custodial/ housekeeping duties, such as emergency clean-up.
- Sets up and takes down furniture and equipment for special events.
- Performssnow removal duties that includes: shoveling and operating a snow blower.
- Ability to work independently or as a team to complete a task with little to no supervision.
- Assists Maintenance Tech II and III with tasks as directed by the direct Supervisor.
- Delivers, picks up materials, and performs other related errands.
- Maintains the grounds and exterior of the campuses including: mowing, weed eating, cleaning sidewalks & parking lots, tree trimming, sign installation, and striping of parking lots.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in performing basic general maintenance and custodial duties. Ability to maintain a cooperative working relationship with college administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of full-time related experience; OR
- Associates degree and 1 year of full-time related experience in general maintenance; OR
- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or related experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job and/or as approved by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
- Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license, including a clean MVR for the past 60 months.
Knowledgeable in general maintenance.
