What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer S.T.E.A.M. Camp Instructor position at Coconino Community College?
The Summer Camp Instructor at Coconino Community College is responsible for creating the curriculum and delivering an engaging, hands-on curriculum to middle school students. This position requires an individual who can effectively manage a classroom, clearly communicate project expectations, and foster a creative, and exciting environment. The instructor will promote a growth mindset, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration among students through a variety of learning activities and projects.
Work hours are based on the number of weeks selected for each camps. For weeks that you are participating in camps, the standard on-site work hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-2:30pm (camps will be 9:00am-2:00pm)
ALL Instructors must complete the Summer Camp Instructor Proposal Form Note that if you are currently a CCC employee, you only need to complete the Proposal Form and do not need to apply for the position here.

Preferred
- Experience working with middle school students in a S.T.E.A.M.-related field, with a strong understanding of project-based learning and hands-on instructional support.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the fields of Education, Counseling, or Advising.
