Nature of Work
This is a temporary part-time position with an end date of December 31, 2025.

Typical Duties
- Performs manual labor
- Operates a variety of light construction equipment
- Cleans and maintains County facilities and park amenities
- Performs grounds maintenance, including weeding
Essential functions include but not limited to sitting, standing, in close vicinity people and livestock, walking and bending; twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy loads up to 60 lbs.; working with and around event producers, supervisors, and other crew members; interruptions; repetitive motion (elbow/shoulder); vision acuity (near/far); hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; finger dexterity/touch. Environmental factors may include and not limited to work outside; noise exposure; use of mechanical devices; exposure to odors and dust.

Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a background check.
This position is non-exempt from overtime.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Operation of power and manual tools
- Operation of light equipment
Working knowledge of:
- Tools, materials, methods and practices used in landscaping
- Traffic laws, ordinances and regulations involved in equipment operation
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions
Ability to:
- Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays
- Work extended hours out of doors in varying weather conditions
- Perform heavy manual labor
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds
- Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Work safely and support the culture of workplace safety
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
