What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Court Case Worker- Superior Court (04/25) position at Coconino County?
Under general direction, is responsible for work of moderate difficulty in performing professional case management coordination, transition services, and partnering with community service providers. Services may include providing reintegration case management and care coordination for individuals being released from incarceration. Collaborates with program team and performs related work as assigned.
Please Note:
This position offers 20-25 hours, per week.
The work week consists of Monday to Friday and weekends.
This position is limited appointment and grant funded with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2026.
- Provides support and advocacy to program participants
- Prepares and maintains records and reports
- Reviews client information to assess service needs
- Provide case management services including but not limited to referral for supportive services, outreach and connection to community resources to address barriers to re-entry, data collection and record keeping
- Coordinates and collaborates with program staff and community-based organizations, public agencies, coalitions, schools and other appropriate facilities to provide re-entry coordination and facilitate referrals for individuals
- Prepares and disseminates informational program materials
- Maintains updated client records with plans, notes, appropriate forms, or related information
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with others, including program participants and other collaborating partner staff
- Conduct outreach and follow up for Recovery Court participants at required intervals
- Provides feedback to Recovery Court Team regarding improving service accessibility or acceptability
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as assigned
- May be responsible for assigning and reviewing the work of others
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: driving; walking; sitting; working with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder) for telephone, typing filing etc.; vision acuity (near and far) for writing, typing and dealing with staff and the public; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; finger dexterity for typing, writing, filing etc.
Four years of experience of progressively responsible experience in social services work OR
Associate degree in a related field working with children and families and three years of experience of progressively responsible experience in social services work OR
Bachelor's degree in a related field working with children and families and two years of experience of progressively responsible experience in social services work OR
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid driver’s license; if hired from out of state, must obtain an Arizona driver's license within 30 calendar days of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona Motor Vehicle Report.

This individual will have experience respectfully working with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health challenges, and those who are engaged with the criminal justice system.
Preferred Qualifications include 2 years of experience as a case manager, resource navigator, or other related role; bilingual; ability to speak, read and write clearly and concisely in English and Spanish, or English and Navajo, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand; experience navigating the behavioral health/criminal justice/social services sectors.This position is safety sensitive.
This position is non-exempt from overtime.
