About the Job
The Director of Textile Innovations will lead the Textiles department as it continues to evolve and support Cocoon's growing product lines.
Cocoon's textile products provide critical insulation for aircraft and protective coverings for various vehicles, primarily used by the military. Our patented technology offers unparalleled corrosion prevention, a significant concern for the Department of Defense.
This position oversees the entire product life cycle, from prototyping and design to manufacturing, logistics, and quality assurance. The Director maintains relationships with vendors and customers, including military program management offices and prime contractors/OEMs.
Collaborating closely with Engineering, this role manages the supply chain, adheres to quality management systems, and drives product innovation. The Director also works with executive leadership on revenue planning, budgeting, and overall Textiles strategy.
Responsibilities
- Foster innovative solutions and products through textiles and technology that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for project development and execution.
- Establish and maintain client, vendor, and partner relationships.
- Source, research, and develop fabrics and trims.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Oversee projects to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and document information securely.
- Manage and update calendars daily, keeping teams informed of relevant updates.
