Coda Search is partnering with a prominent PE group with offices in New York and I wanted to shoot you a quick note to connect. This firm has around $2.5BN AUM and invests heavily across the media, technology, entertainment, and telecommunications sector. This team is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant who will sit in the portfolio investments team where they will have blended responsibilities across investment accounting, FP&A and portfolio reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of the financial statements and investor reports
- Oversee a portfolio of companies within a fund analyzing changes and reconciling discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting across various entities
- Manage the GL and reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries
- Prepare and calculate managements, interest accurals and distributions
- Prepare customized investor reports with commentary
- Analyze metrics with various portfolio companies
- Assist with the annual audit and tax filings working closely with the outside CPA firm
Qualfications:
- Bachelors in Accounting
- 2 years of experience in public accounting
- CPA a plus or work towards highly preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups and pivots)
- Ability to work cross functionally across the entire firm
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
