Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic instructor to deliver our summer coding curriculum. In this role, you will guide students through interactive lessons and activities designed to ignite a passion for coding. You will work directly within classroom settings at private schools, ensuring a dynamic learning experience without the need for extensive travel or remote engagement. Codemoji provides all lesson plans and materials, so no prior coding expertise is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Implement the summer coding curriculum in a classroom setting, engaging students with both digital and hands-on learning activities.
- Preparation: Review lesson plans and test any digital or interactive components (including robotics and circuit boards) before each session. Ensure your laptop and other necessary tools are prepared for use.
- Student Engagement: Foster a safe, fun, and inclusive environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and teamwork.
- Technical Support: Assist with basic digital tasks—such as navigating Google applications and troubleshooting connectivity issues—to ensure a smooth educational experience.
- Compliance: Adhere to Codemoji and school guidelines, including completing all required background checks and HR clearances.
Scheduled Dates & Hours:
- June 23rd – 27th: 9 AM – 4 PM
- July 14th – 18th: 9 AM – 4 PM
- July 21st – 25th: 9 AM – 4 PM
- July 28th – August 1st: 9 AM – 4 PM
- August 4th – 8th: 9 AM – 4 PM
- August 11th – 15th: 9 AM – 4 PM
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience, preferably within an elementary school environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and punctuality.
- Comfortable with basic digital tools and troubleshooting common tech issues.
- No previous coding experience is necessary—Codemoji provides comprehensive training and resources.
