What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Engineer position at Coder Collective?
Our client is an AI-first startup revolutionizing the recruiting industry with autonomous AI agents that replace traditional agency recruiters. Their mission is to build a fully automated talent acquisition engine that sources, evaluates, and engages candidates—without human intervention. If you believe the future of hiring is AI-driven and want to build the next category-defining company, this is your chance.
The Role
As the Founding Engineer, you will lead the development and scaling of their AI-driven recruiter product. You’ll be responsible for architecting, building, and deploying machine learning models, automation workflows, and integrating large language models (LLMs) to create an end-to-end autonomous recruitment system.
You’ll work alongside a business-focused founder and early team to iterate quickly, secure funding, and bring the product to market. We’re looking for a hands-on builder who thrives in fast-paced environments, thinks in first principles, and is excited about disrupting a massive industry.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Technology Strategy – Architect and develop the core AI agent infrastructure, automation layers, and integrations with hiring platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, ATS systems).
- AI / ML Development – Build and fine-tune LLMs and agent-based systems for autonomous sourcing, screening, and candidate outreach.
- Product Development – Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-driven features based on user feedback and business needs.
- Scale & Infrastructure – Deploy scalable, cost-efficient systems that handle high-volume recruitment workflows.
- Team & Culture – Hire and lead a top-tier technical team as the company grows.
- Fundraising & Strategy – Collaborate on fundraising efforts, pitch to investors, and define the long-term vision of the company.
