Who We’re Looking For :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Engineer (Data Center Services Technician) to join our team in Milwaukee. This role involves managing data center inventory and assets, providing operational support, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our data center environment. We’re looking for individuals who thrive in hands-on, collaborative, and fast-paced settings, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain accurate data center inventory and asset records.
- Decommission hardware and handle the lifecycle management of returned equipment.
- Provide ‘remote-hands’ support to data center customers and address support tickets.
- Perform Level-One Network support, including testing and cleaning fiber and copper cables, replacing SFPs, and maintaining structured cabling systems.
- Quote, order, and manage materials for data center expansion and maintenance.
- Rack and stack IT hardware efficiently and safely.
- Utilize DCIM systems like Netterrain for documentation and issue tracking.
- Monitor and respond to conditions in facilities systems, ensuring operational integrity.
- Collaborate with the Critical Environments Engineering (CEE) team and other stakeholders as needed.
