Description
The X-Clinic Outreach Worker reports directly to the X-Clinic Supervisor. The goal of the X-Clinic Outreach Worker is to improve outreach strategies to increase the volume of patients coming into the X-Clinic. An ideal Outreach Worker will work with the Communicable Disease Prevention Program (CDPP) and community partners to develop and implement events for the community we serve to raise awareness about the X-Clinic, and the importance of testing and preventing STIs / HIV / HCV. A successful Outreach Worker will have a passion for social justice, equitable and affordable care, and a desire to meet our community where they are at.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead planning for outreach activities aimed at reaching our target populations : youths, black and brown men who have sex with men, and non-US born individuals.
- Maintain accurate records of activity including number of events, referrals to X-Clinic, names of community partners / organizations.
- Represents X-Clinic / Codman Square Health Center at off-site health events in the community, at workshops, health fairs, and other events as assigned.
- Tracks and maintains inventory on all outreach materials and supplies and works with Communications / Marketing team to purchase more when necessary.
Oversee and meet the goals and deliverables of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) Education
Perform other Duties, Responsibilities, Locations as assigned.
