We are seeking an experienced veterinary receptionist to join our team.
About Us: We are a busy practice with four veterinarians who have diverse experiences working with a variety of cat and dog breeds. Our clients consider us a part of their family as the primary care provider for their pets. Our mission is to provide the best care possible to pets and their owners in the East Bay Area and surrounding neighborhoods. We Are Looking for Someone With:
- One (1) years of experience at a veterinary hospital or clinic
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset
- Enthusiasm and compassion for working with pet owners and their pets
- Willingness to work hard and learn the industry from the ground up
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and the ability to maintain composure under busy circumstances
- Proficiency with computers and electronic record-keeping
- A high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree desired)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Punctuality and reliability
- Excellent verbal, organizational, interpersonal, and telephone skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to take direction, and handle money accurately and honestly
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to multitask in a stressful environment
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting clients
- Answering phones
- Maintaining detailed electronic records
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Checking in and discharging patients
- Collecting and processing payments (in person, over the phone, and online)
- Completing medical records in eVet (training provided)
- Following up with clients
- Monitoring and responding to emails
- Gathering all necessary records for appointments

Expected hours: 40 per week, 5x8 hour shifts
