About Us
Founded in 1978 by the beloved (and now retired) Dr. Richard Hack, Codornices Veterinary Clinic has earned a strong reputation in the East Bay for providing modern, sensible, and individualized veterinary care. Today, our team of four dedicated doctors continues Dr. Hack’s legacy by working closely with pet parents to deliver the best possible care for every patient.

Your Role
As a Veterinary Assistant or RVT, your responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to):
Assisting veterinarians with patient exams, proper restraint, and client communication
Performing venipuncture, cystocentesis, administering medications, and running lab tests
Preparing patients for surgery, including IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction and monitoring
Taking digital radiographs (including dental)
Performing dental cleanings and assisting with dental procedures
Filling prescriptions and updating electronic medical records
Educating pet parents and providing compassionate client service
And most importantly... being awesome!

We’re located in Albany, CA—a vibrant and diverse city nestled between Berkeley and El Cerrito. The East Bay is known for its eclectic charm, scenic parks, beaches, food scene, and easy access to all that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer.
