About the Role
The apprenticeship is a 2-year dual training program that combines structured on-the-job training and related technical learning at Hennepin Technical College. Apprentices are paid employees of Coesia for the entire length of the program. You have the opportunity to earn money while you learn!
All training, classes, tools, books, uniforms and a computer are paid for by Coesia!!
As a mechatronics technician apprentice for Coesia, you will be trained to perform field service for state-of-the-art packaging automation equipment with electrical and mechanical machine knowledge.
Main responsibilities include – not limited to
- Learn to perform field service for state-of-the-art packaging automation equipment with electrical and mechanical machine knowledge
- Learn to start-up, repair and upgrade machines onsite and at customer plants
- Read technical diagrams and schematics
- Learn to create and submit service reports, expense reports, daily time sheets, etc.
- Learn to effectively diagnoses equipment problems to the major system assemblies and/or components (i.e. controller, plc, hardware, operation, etc) and restores equipment operation.
- Learn to install, test, modify and maintain electrical assemblies
What You Need to Be Successful
- Applicants must be 18 years of age before their start date
- Have a high school diploma or GED by the start of the program
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Ability to get a US passport
- Must have valid driver’s license and a clean criminal background
- Technical College placement test scores must fall within an acceptable range.
