SUMMARY:
The Convenience Store Cashier will assist customers in finalizing food and gas purchases at the Coeur dAlene Casino Resort Hotel Convenience Store Station.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive cash, gift card, or charge payments for products purchased and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customer.
- Describe product features, pricing, and new products to customers.
- Refill products and ensure products are displayed appropriately.
- Ensure store, restrooms, back stockrooms, pumps, and other outside areas are kept clean and organized by performing cleaning tasks as needed. This includes emptying all garbage cans, sweeping, and mopping.
- Notify supervisor of needed products for restocking.
- Cash ticket vouchers per customers requests.
- Take and prepare special orders from customers.
- Fold and prepare boxes for recycling.
- Bag, box, or wrap merchandise.
- Resolve customer's complaints.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Must be able to obtain a Coeur dAlene tribal gaming license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Six months previous cashiering experience required, 1 year preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills preferred.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills required.
- Ability to follow directions required.
- Basic problem solving skills required.
