SUMMARY:
The Culinary Maintenance Technician will perform general and detailed cleaning tasks in order to maintain a clean and productive work area in the kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform necessary cleaning tasks for all kitchen equipment nightly.
- Clean hoods, vents, walls, and ceilings as needed.
- Perform weekly deep cleaning tasks including moving stable equipment to clean underneath; de-liming employee lounge equipment; and cleaning the broilers, burners, and stoves.
- Empty garbage cans as needed at the end of the shift.
- Inspect and assist in maintaining kitchen areas and storerooms to ensure that premises and equipment are clean, organized, and well stocked with the resources necessary to maintain the kitchen.
- Assist in effectively coordinating timely maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment by tracking and communicating needs with the Executive Chef.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Six months of previous experience working in a full service restaurant kitchen preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Comprehensive knowledge of proper kitchen sanitation is required.
