Little Dragon Assistant Manager

Summary

The Little Dragon Assistant Manager will assist the Little Dragon Venue Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant and supervision of the staff. In addition, the Assistant Manager is responsible for promoting excellent service that includes hot, fresh and tasty food as well as exceptional guest service to our Little Dragon visitors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise restaurant outlet by organizing and directing worker training programs, resolving personnel problems, creating schedules, coaching employees and evaluating employee performance.
• Will be responsible for interviewing and hiring staff.
• Work in any and all restaurant positions as necessary to alleviate labor shortages including obtaining a food outlet bank and cashiering as necessary.
• Remain on restaurant floor throughout shift and assist as required to ensure smooth operation.
• Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving.
• Monitor food product to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Monitor payroll to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service.
• Complete accurate daily reports at end of each shift.
• Ensure food outlet compliance with all Idaho State, county, local, and tribal liquor laws.
• Correct ticket mistakes in the POS system.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Two years previous experience in a restaurant/food service environment required; three years preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience in the food service industry required.
• Prior interviewing and hiring experience preferred.
• Alcohol ServSafe and Food ServSafe certifications required.
• If certifications have expired, must successfully pass both classes within two weeks of hire.

• Computer skills required – the use of various systems are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel preferred.
• Strong cashiering skills required.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must be skilled at managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and presentation skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving skills required.
• Must have a thorough understanding of the theory of progressive discipline.

The Coeur d’Alene Casino allows smoking on property so team members may be exposed to second hand smoke. The Casino atmosphere is noisy with flashing lights and at times can be extremely busy with people and events. The Little Dragon restaurant is located in the Food Court where there is potential to be busy and noisy.

This job is classified as a medium strength category position. A person working in this position will exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, an/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
