Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in various nursing practices, including acute pain management, medication administration, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with Dr. Kuhlman-Wood, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and ensuring all pre-operative protocols are followed.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions during the perioperative period.
- Assist in the operating room by providing direct patient care, including positioning patients and maintaining sterile fields.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate efficient workflow and effective communication throughout procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and manage acute pain effectively post-surgery.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, including discharge instructions and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the operating room setting.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience with Plastic Surgery
- 2 Years Experience in the OR setting
**This is currently a part time position on Thursdays, with the opportunity to expand
Pay: DOE
Benefits: 401K with match available after 1 year of service and 1,000 hours worked, Product and Treatments available at a complimentary or discounted rate, Profit sharing, etc.
Additional Benefits at full time: Medical and Dental Insurance available for full time positions (32 hours worked weekly) w/ option to add employee paid dependents after 60 days of employment.
