About the Job :
The Coeur Rochester mine located in Nevada, approximately 25 miles from Lovelock, Nevada, is seeking a Drill & Shovel Mechanic to join the team. Responsibilities :
- Must have general knowledge and experience of maintaining Blast hole Drills, Hydraulic Shovels, and various support equipment. Preferable working knowledge of Komatsu and Hitachi face shovels, Epiroc and Cat drills.
- Must be able to performs system diagnostics, on hydraulic, Air, lube and electrical 12 / 24 volte systems.
- Be able to perform repairs but not limited to component replacements on GET, hydraulic pumps, and motors, engines, air ends, gear boxes, undercarriage, compressors, auto lube, hydraulic valves, and hoses.
- Must have experience with building hydraulic hoses.
- Must have experience with prioritizing and making decisions regarding equipment repairs as needed.
- Must have experience performing mechanical and lubrication PM’s, to include inspections of equipment to check and identify any mechanical and electrical risks.
- Responsible for accurate troubleshooting and parts ordering, but not limited to accurate completion of work orders as assigned.
- Must be willing to train and mentor other technicians.
- May be required to operate equipment such as : forklifts, auto cranes, boom trucks and other small mobile equipment.
- Knowledge of work management systems.
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling for major PCR activities.
