The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Officer to identify new business opportunities and retain key clients. This is an exciting time to join our organization due to our long-term growth strategy within the North American region. Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving annual revenue targets through consultative sales to new clients and renewal of existing policies.
- Building a portfolio of business that aligns with Coface's strategic growth and retention goals.
- Developing an active pipeline of qualified prospects, generating leads from banks and insurance agencies, and direct cold calling to business owners and CFOs.
- Marketing and selling specialized financial products to corporations within assigned regions.
- Providing exceptional service to new and existing clients by monitoring their programs and coverage.
- Researching and recommending prospects for new business opportunities, as well as researching and analyzing sales options.
- Attending workshops to enhance technical and professional skills.
- Staying current with industry trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3 years' proven experience selling B2B solutions, preferably in finance, banking, or insurance.
- Experience with trade credit insurance is a plus.
- Cold calling and new business development skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of activity.
- A proven track record in client acquisition and retention.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A robust network in the designated territory.
- The ability to take initiative and work collaboratively in a team environment when needed.
- P&C License or ability to pass P&C course and licensing within 45 days of start date.
