Job Summary
The Architectural Solutions Project Manager will manage interior demountable wall projects from inception to completion inclusive of planning, coordination, implementation, and project closeout. They will maintain a smooth workflow in line with project requirements and schedule, with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness, problem-solving, and customer service to drive quality outcomes. They will coordinate external and internal project teams to facilitate exceptional experiences for clients and teams and optimize business profitability.
Responsibilities
- Project Definition and Planning. Establish clear and reasonable project expectations and deliverables for clients and other project parties. Advise on and negotiate project planning details in relation to proven practices and standards. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all operational tasks post award. Maintain, communicate, and manage critical dates and milestones for project schedule. Understand and actively manage profit margins on projects.
- Project Implementation and Coordination. Foster frequent, quality interactions and coordinate work with third-party firms, installation managers across install houses, and project team. Request install quotes and labor durations based on scope of work. Coordinate all infield activity with installation firm and client (site verifications dates etc.). Provide updates and communication throughout projects ensuring all critical information and dates are known by all project stakeholders (internal and external). Review plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and correctness, and correct product application prior to order placement. Plan and supervise product delivery and installation, including performance of work, installation administration, and timeliness of task completion. Serve as escalation point to resolve / mitigate issues and expedite changes / revisions as required.
- Installation Planning and Execution. Review installation drawings and identify callouts relevant parties for accuracy. Schedule and facilitate coordination, pre-installation, and progress meetings and site visits required by project with installation team and project stakeholders (if applicable). Identify and addresses punch items proactively through the duration of the installation. Identify, manage, and finalize punch list with project team and end user to ensure accuracy, signoffs, and resolution of discrepancies. Adapt and negotiate with installers and general contractors to conduct unplanned work and receive payment.
- Project Administration and Closeout. Maintain and track project drawings and detailed documentation (i.e., project decisions, customer / project requests, revisions). Manage profit margins on projects to align with contract / proposals. Manage changes of scope costs in real time and provide timely and accurate information of any changes. Complete and submit project closeout and document.
- Customer Service. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor across situations, customers, and vendors. Communicate with transparency and professionalism across project team to promote exceptional customer experience. Serve as the main point of contact for projects post-award. Adapt to project and customer needs in alignment with core process and service level expectations.
- Culture and People Development. Perform work and engage in support of organization culture and expectations. Establish and nurture inclusive relationships with colleagues and within project teams. Maintain accountability for ongoing learning and improvements required to perform job. Collaborate and take initiative to support the success and growth of self, others, and the organization.
