```Job Summary```

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to join our team. As the Coffee Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shop, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations, as well as hiring, training, and supervising staff. Someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, has a passion for the industry, and is willing to engage in spiritual conversations. The Coffee Shop Manager creates the tone and personality of the store by being a proponent of training, customer service, product knowledge, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to our mission statement.

```Responsibilities```

• Manage day-to-day operations of the coffee shop
• Create new recipes and developing seasonal menus
• Prepare and serve beverages such as espresso-based drinks, teas, and other specialty drinks
• Prepare and serve food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries
• Hire and train new staff (baristas and shift supervisors)
• Maintain proper inventory by ordering supplies with a variety of vendors
• Create and coordinate staff schedules and manage staff performance
• Ensure excellent customer service through training and execution of quality interactions to create consistency in experience
• Ensure that all team members are committed to the highest level of service, and can execute that service on a consistent basis
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory and all financial records to increase profitability
• Maintain a clean and inviting environment
• Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and be able to engage in deeper/spiritual conversations
• Ensure health and safety standards are met
• Manage and resolve customer complaints and inquiries
• Assist Executive Director in developing polices and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and safety
• Manage social media platforms effectively to promote C&C and connect with customers and broader community
• Maintain a work environment where team members input is encouraged and valued
• Manage POS system effectively
• Review and submit payroll to treasurer bi-weekly
• Ensure each team member has received proper training to perform as a barista or shift supervisor efficiently
• Work with Executive Director to promote the mission of C&C including at times special projects and fundraising

```Skills```

- Strong background as a barista and in food preparation and coffee shop operations

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience

- Proficient in food safety regulations and practices

- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cash handling

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

```Requirements and Qualifications```

- College degree preferred

- Proven experience as a coffee shop manager and barista

- Knowledge of the industry and coffee-making techniques

- Strong customer service focus

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations

- Experience in cash handling and accounting procedures

- Must pass background and drug test
