We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Coffee Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our coffee shop. This individual will be trained as a barista and is responsible for ensuring the coffee bar runs efficiently and delivers high-quality service and beverages. The Coffee Shop Supervisor plays a critical role in fostering a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and team members while also managing inventory, scheduling, and fiscal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support barista team during daily operations to ensure consistent drink quality and outstanding customer service.
- Lead by example with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of baristas.
- Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage during regular hours and special events.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed and tracking usage.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are always upheld.
- Monitor and manage the coffee shop budget, track sales and expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Address customer concerns or conflicts in a calm, professional, and solutions-driven manner.
- Use social media to promote seasonal drinks, shop events, and daily specials.
- Collaborate with leadership to set goals and continuously improve shop operations.

- Prior coffee shop or hospitality experience strongly preferred but not required—on-the-job training is provided.

- Fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
