What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coffee Professional for Kosher Coffee Shop position at Coffee Redefined?
The only third wave coffee shop in the Midwood/Madison section of South Brooklyn and certainly the only Jewish/Kosher third wave coffee spot this side of Brooklyn is looking for and individual with a clean professional appearance who is passionate about coffee for coffee's sake to join the team and continue what we have created here.
These Jews that Brew are looking for the right person to manage our coffee program as we expand to our new high volume location.
Our shop is located in The Madison/Midwood location of Brooklyn https://g.co/kgs/vt7667 (Please confirm that this is not an issue before responding to the listing).
We are a true third wave shop, and have a very dedicated following. We can only grow with the right people that can keep the mood going (almost a perfect score on Google and Yelp).
We roast our own and are passionate about what we do and so are our customers.
Job requirements are fairly straight forward, pretty much what you would expect in a busy coffee bar (espresso drinks, milk stretching and steaming, pour-overs both hot and Cold, grinder and espresso machine operation and daily maintenance/sanitation etc.)
Handling/directing the coffee program in the new location will be expected as well.
We've got recipes that our customers expect (consistency) so we will need someone that will learn those and continue developing what we have started.
The right candidate will have or will get a NYC Food Safety certificate within 6 months of hire.
If interviewed please be prepared to make some espresso and coffee drinks.
Please apply only after you have determined that the commute works for you and you are truly going to attend the interview. Thank you.
