Our client founded in 1952, is a privately owned distributor, fabricator, and installer of construction products focusing on high-quality fencing and gate solutions for commercial and residential clients across Southern Texas.
SOUTHWEST HOUSTON, MISSOURI CITY AREA HQ (Beltway 8 & Fort Bend Parkway) / HOUSTON OPERATIONS / SOUTHEAST TEXAS CUSTOMERS—The company employs 25 people and runs a single manufacturing plant at its headquarters. It has established itself as a market leader, recognized for its high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.
The Director of Sales & Business Development will report to the President / Owner, who has been General Manager since 2007 and has 35 years of experience in construction. They will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (President, Director of Operations, Director of Finance / Controller, Director of Sales & Business Development). The Sales & Business Development oversees all sales, business, and marketing activities, manages the sales team, and develops marketing strategies to achieve sales objectives and enhance operational efficiency. This includes the application of HFCO’s BIGIN CRM to manage residential and commercial sales, supervise sales personnel, advance marketing initiatives, and coordinate with HFCO’s operations. Additionally, it involves key performance indicators such as close rates, bid amounts, gross margin, improvements to the appointment scheduling process, and specific duties assigned by the President.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- A degree in business, landscape architecture, or equivalent experience in construction product sales, distribution, fabrication, and installation is required.
- A highly knowledgeable, analytical, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience in installing commercial and residential fences.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional sales experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably BIGIN or Zoho.
- Communicate effectively with customers, staff, and architects
- Technical skills to identify and help solve problems.
- Must have a friendly and positive optimistic attitude.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter.
- Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a competitive drive to succeed.
- Should be organized and possess strong time-management skills.

Commission Structure : Uncapped commission opportunities, with realistic on-target earnings ranging from $37,008 to $18,504 annually; this estimate is based on our Sales Team's performance from 2022 to 2024.
Performance Profit Sharing : Eligible for profit sharing of up to 15% of the annual base salary, paid biannually in July and January, based on individual and company performance.
Annual Performance Review : Opportunity for annual merit increases and performance-based bonus adjustments.
Quarterly Bonuses : Extra performance-based bonuses for exceeding quarterly expectations targets.
