Job Description:
Incumbents in this position provide professional civil engineering services through field
inspections and monitoring construction projects to ensure compliance with local, state and
federal regulations. Duties include resolving technical design and construction problems;
performing site surveys and preparing engineering studies, cost estimates and requisitions
for materials and equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform concrete design, process piping layouts, storm water drainage, roadways
and access control systems.
Learn the treatment process and assist in water production.
Prepare engineering studies, cost estimates, facility assessments and process
engineering.
Prepare requisitions for construction materials and process equipment.
Perform site surveys and layout grades, elevations, curves and structures.
Inspect construction work by contractors and Water Division employees, perform
acceptance tests, and supervise concrete placement and testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Data Utilization: Requires the ability to perform mid-level data analysis including the ability to audit, deduce, assess, conclude and appraise. Requires discretion in
Government Departments and Agencies Personnel City Jobs determining and referencing such established criteria to define consequences and
develop alternatives.

differences between characteristics of colors, shapes, sounds, odors and textures
associated with job-related objects, materials and tasks, such as assessing

Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a directly related field from a nationally
accredited college or university approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and
Technology (ABET).
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver s license while employed by the
Client. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be
