What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Cogent Infotech Corp.?
Duties include : Some experience in repairing and maintaining a variety of heavy mechanical equipment that includes welding and pipe work; OR, successful completion of a welding, pipefitting, or millwright apprenticeship program; OR, some experience as a welder, pipefitter, or millwright.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Inspects, repairs and maintains water plant and distribution equipment and components such as pumps, motors, valves, intake screens, sluice gates, compressors, feed lines and others.
- Repairs and maintains overhead cranes and boats.
- Designs, fabricates and installs piping and structural steel.
- Maintains regulators.
- May occasionally use overhead cranes, rigging equipment, lifting equipment, and motor boats.
