Title : Mess Attendant
Location : Minnesota Air National Guard Base, Duluth, MN
Pay : $14-$18 / Hr
- Ensure continuous cleanliness of dishes, employees, and work area
- Comply with all Federal and Air Force mandated sanitation requirements. AFI 48-116 Food Safety Program, all chapters.
- Tables, Cookware, and Utensils. Tableware, serving line cookware, and all utensils shall be sanitized and dried after each use. Wash and rinse water temperature shall be monitored and
- maintained in a manner that complies with all applicable sanitation, public health regulations / standards, and the USDA Food Code. Clean tables and utensils.
- Ware and Utensil Storage. Cleaned and sanitized tableware, cookware, and utensils shall be handled in a manner and stored in designated locations that protect them from contamination.
- Clean Kitchen Equipment. Exhaust hoods and screens shall be cleaned, and the ice machine emptied and cleaned after the lunch meal period on Sunday.
- Clean Serving Line Area. Any spills occurring in the receiving side shall be cleaned upon occurrence
- Clean Dining Area. Dining chairs, tabletops, and condiment dispensers shall be cleaned after each meal period. All condiment dispensers shall be filled in a manner that precludes any instance of patron waiting. Any spills occurring in the dining area shall be cleaned upon occurrence
- Dishwashing / Clipper Equipment. Dishwashing equipment, clipper unit, deep sinks, and garbage
- disposal units shall be left dry and cleaned when the area will not be in use for more than one (1) hour.
- Food Preparation Area. Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, kitchen, and dining areas in accordance with the FDA Food Code.
- Disposal of Trash. All trash containers shall be kept covered when not in use. Containers shall be emptied as needed, avoiding any instance of a full trash bin. All trash containers shall be stored at the end of each day in a clean and sanitized condition. The area adjacent to the dumpster shall be kept in a clean and sanitized condition. Cardboard boxes shall be flattened before being placedin the dumpster
