Description
Cogent People Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to support a large-scale IT application development program for a mission-critical data-centric project. This role requires experience with testing automation, defining and executing test strategies and plans, with the goal of improving test effectiveness, efficiency, and product quality.
Location Hybrid (Columbia, MD), must be in the office 2 days a week
Specific Residency Requirement The candidate must have resided in the US for 3 of the past 5 years and must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the US (Citizen, Permanent Resident, EAD).

Clearance Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities :
- Enable full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle.
- Perform continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite.
- Create automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration.
- Participate in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.
- Transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions.
