Sr. Windows 10 / 11 Migration Technician / Engineer needed for a 3 Month Contract onsite in Foxboro, MA (2 Openings)!
We are seeking a dedicated Windows 10 - Windows 11 L1 Migration Technician to support an on-site migration project for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and ensure a smooth transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11 across the client's environment. The engineer will interact directly with end-users, troubleshoot issues, and work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migration Support: Assist in the migration of client systems from Windows 10 to Windows 11, including pre- and post-installation support.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to end-user productivity.
- End-User Support: Provide Level 1 technical assistance to users, guiding them through the migration process and addressing any concerns or challenges.
- System Configuration: Ensure proper configuration of hardware and software settings post-migration, including BIOS and firmware updates, OS settings, and domain integration.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of migration activities, including issues encountered, resolutions implemented, and system configurations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and other IT team members to escalate complex issues and ensure project timelines are met.
- Security Compliance: Verify that migrated systems meet security standards, including encryption and secure domain integration.
- Asset Management: Support inventory tracking and device tagging as part of the migration process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with end-users and team members.
- Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in system configuration and documentation.

- Experience: Prior experience in an IT support role, particularly in system migrations or upgrades.

- Experience with device provisioning, including application installation and data migration.
- Knowledge of encryption and security protocols to ensure compliance during migration.
Work Environment:
