Cognitive Surplus is seeking an organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize the movement of products and materials throughout our supply chain. We are looking for someone with a meticulous eye for detail, flexibility, and willingness to learn and grow with us, as this position is integral to our small team. While we will work closely together on many projects, the ability to work and think independently is essential.
Main Duties
- Work with both international freight forwarders and domestic carrier groups on scheduling multiple modes of transportation (ground, air, and ocean) for on-time delivery.
- Communicate with the Netherlands-based warehouse team regarding inbound and outbound deliveries, customer order issues, and stock alerts.
- Enter shipping and product data into individual vendor portals to ensure compliance
- Read and understand vendor manuals and shipping guides, and the ability to clearly communicate this information to the shippers
- Enter purchase orders and sales orders into internal and external systems
- Data entry for accurate inventory tracking
- Export and organize inventory reports
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments internally and to customers
- Collects all shipping and support documentation
- Daily check-ins for problems within integrated order systems and print-on-demand partners
- Use spreadsheets to build and maintain product listings
- Experience with Shopify is a plus
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of shipping, dispatch, or logistics experience
- 2 years experience in accurate data entry
- Experience with Google Sheets or Excel
- Ability to prioritize work within established guidelines and follow through on various requests.
- Strong problem-solving/analytical, attention to detail, organization, decision-making, communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Collaborative team member, positive attitude, ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Facility with computer programs and the ability to learn software
- Work quickly, quietly, meticulously and independently
- Effective time management skills
- Reliably get to and from work with dependable attendance during assigned shift while maintaining a positive attitude.
