NetBackup Administrator -Hybrid
Location : Princeton, New Jersey (This is a Hybrid position)
Experience : 8-12 years
As a NetBackup Storage and Migration Specialist (L3), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex NetBackup environments. You will provide advanced technical expertise to resolve complex technical issues and ensure optimal performance and reliability of the NetBackup infrastructure.
Responsibilities :
Design and Implementation :
Design and implement complex NetBackup solutions, including backup and recovery strategies.
Configure and optimize NetBackup servers, clients, and storage devices.
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Troubleshooting and Support :
Diagnose and resolve complex NetBackup issues.
Provide advanced technical support to L1 and L2 support teams.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Migration and Upgrade :
Plan and execute migrations to new NetBackup versions and hardware platforms.
Migrate data from legacy backup systems to NetBackup.
Optimize NetBackup performance after migrations and upgrades.
Storage Management :
Manage and optimize storage devices used by NetBackup.
Implement storage tiering and deduplication strategies.
Monitor storage usage and performance.
Security :
Implement security best practices for NetBackup environments.
Protect sensitive data through encryption and access controls.
Monitor for security threats and vulnerabilities.
Documentation :
Create and maintain detailed documentation of NetBackup configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications :
Strong technical expertise in NetBackup, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Strong understanding of network protocols and security concepts.
Good to have Cyber vault experience.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $73,350- $133,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
