Job Summary
A Pega Senior Developer is a highly experienced software professional with in-depth knowledge of the Pega platform responsible for designing developing and maintaining complex business applications using Pega low-code tools leading development teams ensuring best practices are followed and acting as a technical expert on Pega architecture and functionality while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient Pega solutions
Responsibilities
Analyzing business requirements designing Pega application architecture creating detailed technical specifications and defining system integration points.
Building complex Pega applications using drag-and-drop interface writing custom rules workflows and integrations utilizing advanced Pega features like case management decisioning and reporting.
Mentoring junior developers reviewing code ensuring quality standards are met and guiding the team on best practices for Pega development.
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks optimizing application design for scalability and efficiency.
Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements translate them into functional specifications and ensure alignment with the Pega solution.
Designing and executing test cases performing unit testing integration testing and user acceptance testing.
Overseeing application deployment to production environments troubleshooting production issues and providing ongoing maintenance and support.
PEGA Senior System Architect (PEGA CSSA) / PEGA Certified Lead System architect (CLSA)

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 to $150,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
