Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java/AWS Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: Atlanta Georgia, Raleigh, NC
Responsibilities:
Development and Testing
- Proven hands-on Software Development experience
- Proven working experience in Java development
- Understand the current application infrastructure and migrate application to AWS cloud platform.
- Implement the applications CI/CD pipeline using AWS CI/CD stack.
- Agile/Scrum planning and process involvement.
- APIs and Modular development.
- Knowledge of GitFlow, DevOPs, Continuous Deployment and/or integration.
- Understanding of the AWS architecture, and the core AWS services that makes AWS standout among all the cloud vendors.
- Hands on experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining applications.
- Working knowledge of application that utilizes key AWS services such as AWS database, notifications, and workflow services, as well as its storage and change management system.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Some experience with ECS or EKS.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE language and C experience in the past is plus.
- Ability to trouble shoot distributed system.
- Good background in Linux/Unix administration.

- J2EE - Web application framework and API technologies like jQuery, AngularJS, Swagger and Spring Boot.
- DB2/Oracle - Database Skill set
