The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our current services and technologies.
Role: .Net Production Support Engineer
Experience: 7 years
Location: Alpharetta – GA, 2 days to work from Client location.
Required Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expert level in programming with cloud experience (gcp preferable), Experience with user interface design, database structures, and statistical analyses.
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills and Software Debugging.
• Ability to work as part of a team. Adapt to new technologies and have the ability to learn new tools.
• Investigate and troubleshoot Production issues. Pinpoint Problematic Code and Dependencies in Real Time, Helping to Resolve Issues Faster. In-Depth Troubleshooting and Real-Time Monitoring capabilities.
• Support the regular application release process
• Support our application platforms in both production and the non-production test environments.
• Be part of an on-call rotation
• Work with Development teams for handing-off or taking overactive support issues and creating a team specific knowledge base and skill set.
· Working experience in cloud (GCP) or front-end technologies including react/react native would be an added advantage
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Languages: .NET, .NET MVC, Web Services (SOAP, REST) / Messaging, Spring Applications, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc
Operating Systems: Unix/Linux, Windows etc
Database: Oracle 11g, SqlServer, Postgresql etc
Tools: SQL Developer tool, etc
Nature of project: Production support
Salary and Other Compensation:
The compensation for this position will depend on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
