You will work with a team to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This role requires a strong understanding of switching and routing technologies and will involve collaboration with various departments to meet the company's networking needs.

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification preferred.

The annual salary for this position is between $37,800 - $68,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Job Summary
As a NOC Analyst you will be responsible for resolving tickets, monitoring and maintaining network systems. You will work with a team to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This role requires a strong understanding of switching and routing technologies and will involve collaboration with various departments to meet the company's networking needs.
Responsibilities
- Management of events related to IT infrastructure elements which encompasses monitoring and responding to event consoles, incident identification and management, notification, filtering, correlation, response, closure, and reporting of such events, on a 24x7x365 basis using event monitoring tools like CA Spectrum.
- Monitor, support and troubleshoot issues by following the SOP based documentation
- Create and update trouble tickets as required
- Respond to Infrastructure alarms; take appropriate action to classify, prioritize and resolve the issues
- Provide critical service outage notification and escalate issues for timely resolution; notify appropriate stakeholders accordingly
- Maintain and comply with standard technical and administrative procedures
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Execution and management of IT operational activities but not limited to, incidents resolution, request fulfilment and the execution of documented operational tasks
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a Technical Support or similar role
- Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people
- Basic Skills required as below:
- Network diagnostic skill & OSI Models
- Linux CLI skills
- Windows Sysadmin skills
- SAN Basics
- Excellent understanding of ITIL processes and standards
- Work well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues
- Ability to assess faults, prioritize, respond and escalate accordingly
- Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritization of workload
- Clear communicator (both written and verbal).
- Strong analytical skills and able to collate and interpret data from various sources
- Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly
- Must be proficient at documenting issues to make sure things are taken care of promptly
