Overview:
Join Cognizant as an inspiring leader within the Program & Project Management community. This key role is responsible and accountable for Program Management activities associated with large-scale, complex, multi-service (Application Development and Maintenance, Infrastructure, Business Process, and Digital) programs. Successful candidates will not only manage delivery objectives but will also have responsibility for customer satisfaction and the client relationships required for successful program delivery.
Role:
• Lead the planning and execution of portfolio management strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee the development and implementation of project management processes and methodologies.
• Provide guidance and support to project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project priorities and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in portfolio and project management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage risks and issues related to portfolio and project management, ensuring timely resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance portfolio management processes and outcomes.
• Support the development and implementation of training programs for project managers and team members.
• Ensure the effective use of portfolio management tools and technologies.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on portfolio performance and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures related to portfolio and project management.
Required Qualifications:
• 12 years in strategy, operations, process consulting, stakeholder management, project/ program delivery within legacy modernization or digital transformations
• Possess extensive experience in portfolio management and portfolio & project management (PPM);
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Payer domain and Medicare domain and its specific requirements, including product implementation projects within these domains.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Show proficiency in using portfolio management tools and technologies.
• Display strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Have a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Prefer possess strong leadership and team management skills.
• Show commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Have experience in developing and implementing training programs is preferred.
• Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
• Occasional domestic travel to client locations.
• Show a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in portfolio and project management.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Masters degree strongly preferred
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $141,500.00 – $191,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
