Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS SQL Angular JS and MySQL. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site with no travel required. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of our software solutions ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Angular JS and MySQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Implement and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the software system.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong understanding of AWS services and architecture.
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Have extensive experience with Angular JS for front-end development.
• Show expertise in MySQL for database design and optimization.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Be capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
• Display a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

The annual salary for this position is between $80K – $140K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
