Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Source potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
- Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews to assess candidate suitability
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Provide timely communication and feedback to candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Manage candidate pipeline and keep detailed records in the applicant tracking system
- Negotiate offers, including salary and benefits, with selected candidates
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies
- Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs
- Utilize data and recruitment metrics to improve hiring processes
- Assist in onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth transition
- Attend job fairs and networking events to promote the organization and attract talent
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years recruitment experience
- Certification in human resources or recruiting a plus
- Ability to handle high-volume recruitment
- Experience with all levels of recruitment (hourly and salary)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite in Word and Excel (Outlook is a plus).
- Proven experience in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously, track candidate progress, and stay organized.
- Ability to identify and address recruitment challenges, such as sourcing candidates or securing offers.
Skills
- Keen understanding of recruitment strategies, including both passive and active sourcing techniques.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software
- Ability to be proactive in sourcing efforts and focused on filling open positions effectively.
- Ability to handle high-volume recruitment
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
