Epi and Characterization Operator, Equipment: Day or Night Shift

This position will be on either of the following shifts : Day : Sun / Mon / Tues with alternating Wed 6am to 6pm or Night : Sun / Mon / Tues with alternating Wed 6pm to 6am Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs Epitaxial growth and related technological processes in accordance with instructions from the engineering team. Responsibilities include, but not limited to prepare lot travelers, inspect substrates prior to use, prepare SiC substrates for epi growth, operate reactors and characterization tools, unload wafers (cassettes) on reactors and characterization tools, wafer inspections, enter observations and process records into Database.
• Maintains accurate records of process parameters.
• Supports the development and evolution of operating procedures.
• Supports engineering in other areas such as wafer cleaning and characterization as needed.
• Participates in FMEA activities.
• Performing Susceptor changes on Epi reactor systems.
• Participates in troubleshooting of Epitaxial growth equipment when malfunctions occur and perform maintenance on and / or replace Epi growth chamber components.
• Keep epi reactor and characterization areas clean. Actively participates in housekeeping initiatives.
• Follows all health, safety, environmental, ergonomic, and clean room requirements, regulations, and procedures Education & Experience
• High School Diploma with experiences in related technical field.
• Experience in Epi and or Characterization preferred.
• Experience in testing and data analysis, process improvement and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Computer literate. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email, and Internet. Skills
• Strong mechanical skills
• High hands-on requirements
• Be proficient with hand tools, Grinders, Dremel tool
• Must be technically inclined with good written, attention to details and mechanical skills.
• Must be well organized and able to perform several tasks in parallel.
• Must be computer-literate to operate computer-controlled equipment and make data entry.
• ITAR compliance requirement : Individual must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork skills, and work with our engineering team. Working Conditions
• 100% on site; day shift 6am to 6pm or night shift 6pm to 6am 3 days on 4 days off, 4 days on 3 days off with swing day on Wednesday. Physical Requirements
• Ability to work at computer.
• Ability to use Beed Blaster tool

Will work under the guidance of the epi engineering team and will closely follow the engineering guidelines and written technological procedures / work instructions. Perform pre-epi substrate inspections and wafer sorting. Load substrates (cassettes) into reactors and characterization tools and operate the equipment for epitaxial growth and test measurements. Techs need to follow procedures, work instructions, and SOP's. Perform visual inspections on grown wafers and generate Maps on Characterization tools. Place results to the desired location on the internal network. Prepare shipments and / or storage of product material. Log process data into run sheets and Epi reactor software. Maintains order and cleanliness in the clean room work areas. Participates in equipment maintenance programs.
