CohnReznick’s Administration department has an exciting opportunity in our Document Production Services team. We are looking for a dynamic Proofreader to support our national offices.
This is a permanent position. Various shifts available from 8:30 AM - 11 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime (weekday evenings and weekends as needed by workload). The position is preferred to be in LA but remote locations will be considered as well.
Responsibilities:
- Proofread and mathematically check client financial statements, proposals, SEC 10K/Qs filings and other special projects using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro.
- Possess the ability to proofread financial statements, proposals, SEC 10K/Qs filings and special projects accurately and efficiently using proficient knowledge of proper business English, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Communicate with supervisor and client on deadline and/or challenges with meeting deadlines.
- Maintain formatting consistency and writing standards for processing financial statements.
- Ensure quality control of assigned work.
- Special projects assigned by Supervisor, Manager, Senior Manager and/or National Director of Administration.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted.
- Experience in accounting department or knowledge of accounting or bookkeeping practices strongly desired.
- Minimum one year experience in a document production environment.
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat software.
- Typing speed of 50 wpm and 10-key speed of 7,000 keys per minute preferred.
- Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and complete projects quickly during tight deadlines
- Dependable, reliable, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to self-review
- Flexibility to work additional/overtime hours (evening and weekend) as required by workload.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication skills and writing abilities: knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
