Job Summary:
The Bottler Transportation Planner plays a critical role in coordinating and optimizing the transportation of bottled goods from production facilities to distribution centers, warehouses, and retailers. Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Planning:
Develop and execute transportation schedules to meet production and delivery deadlines.
Optimize routes and modes of transport to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
Coordinate with bottling facilities, carriers, and distribution centers.
Carrier Management:
Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation service providers.
Monitor carrier performance and resolve any service issues or delays.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Inventory and Load Coordination:
Plan and oversee the loading of trucks to maximize space and minimize costs.
Monitor inventory levels at bottling plants and distribution centers to prevent stockouts or overages.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze transportation costs, trends, and performance metrics.
Generate reports on delivery times, freight costs, and efficiency improvements.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.
Collaboration and Communication:
