What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Estimator position at Colaska Inc.?
Job Summary
Oversees and directs all aspects of estimating for many different manufacturing business units to include but not limited to : Hot Mix, Crushed / Washed / Screened Aggregates Ready Mix and Pre-Cast Concrete. Prepares project status reports, schedules, margins and works to ensure products adhere to contract specifications. Must have knowledge in Alaska DOT&PF, USACE, private utilities and alternative delivery construction projects, along with knowledge in Hot Mix, Ready Mix, Aggregate and Pre-Cast material specifications.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze drawings to identify precast concrete components and their dimensions and quantities.
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for precast concrete fabrication and production.
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Monitor / control production through administrative direction of managers / engineers / foreman to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
