Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in the commercial refrigeration industry. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage refrigeration projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with industry standards, and client satisfaction. This role requires strong technical expertise, effective communication, and project management skills to coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee commercial refrigeration projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Design and Engineering: Develop and review refrigeration system designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and solutions throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design through installation and commissioning.
- Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain project-related documentation, including schedules, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve technical issues or unforeseen challenges during the project to maintain progress and quality.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing questions, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the commercial refrigeration or HVAC industry.
- Technical Skills:
Proficiency in refrigeration systems, components, and installation processes.
Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools.
Strong understanding of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, EPA regulations).
- Project Management Skills:
Ability to create and manage schedules and budgets.
Experience with project management software is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, EPA Section 608 certification).
- Hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration installations or service.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and environmentally friendly refrigeration solutions.
Work Environment:
