Summary
As a Caregiver in the MEYERLAND area, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of long-term care and personal assistance. Reporting to the Care Manager, your role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients through compassionate caregiving and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). You will utilize your skills in medical documentation, communication, and patient care to ensure the well-being of those you serve. Your experience with first aid, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities will be invaluable in creating a safe and supportive environment for our clients. Responsibilities
- Provide basic life support and patient care services.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems for accurate medical documentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Adapt to various care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.
Qualifications
- Basic life support certification
- Patient care experience
- Knowledge of EMR and EHR systems
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to provide catheter care
- Experience in caregiving or CNA role
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with individuals with diverse healthcare needs
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different care settings
