Civil Design Technician, AutoCad

We seek a detail-oriented and motivated Civil Design Technician to join our dynamic engineering team serving rural, underserved communities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of civil design principles, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and engineers. You will play a crucial role in designing and drafting civil engineering plans.

Civil Design Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other design software
• Assist in designing and laying out infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and site grading plans
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and specifications
• Review and revise design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and company design standards
• Provide technical support during project planning, implementation, and construction phases
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on design and project development
• Lead, or have the ability to grow into leading, the company’s AutoCAD design standards, methods, and procedures and communicate to all of the company’s AutoCAD users
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Civil Design Technician or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with civil engineering principles, standards, and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as an Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD or equivalent
• Experience with GIS software and other relevant engineering tools
  
  

Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000, based on relevant experience
