Athletics is an integral part of Cole Valley’s vision of developing the whole person to impact the world for Jesus Christ. We believe that God uses athletics to teach us spiritual truths. There are many biblical lessons and discipleship opportunities available as we strive to reach our fullest potential athletically. We are looking for a Head Coach for our freshman and sophomore girls volleyball team who has strong leadership skills and a heart for discipleship.
Essential Positional Responsibilities:
- Promote consistent philosophies and continuity with the team.
- Help communicate philosophies and vision provided by the program head to parents and extended school family.
- Equip CVCS athletes with the fundamental instruction and necessary motivation to continually improve on the volleyball court.
- Build relationships and invest in the lives of our young women, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ as they see Christ living in you.
- Organize and lead all game-day activities for your team.
- Organize and conduct all practice sessions during the season.
- Work with Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach to ensure that transportation, facilities, equipment and safety requirements are met.
- Establish clear communication with parents and players regarding logistics, such as practice times, locations, meeting times, travel, etc.
- Attend off-season activities as available.
- Work with Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach in organizing inventory including the team uniform check in and out process.
- Take an active role in mentorship and development within the extended coaching staff.
- A testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
- Involvement in your local church.
- Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord.
- Be spiritually mature with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Previous coaching staff experience at the high school or collegiate level and/or playing experience at the collegiate level.
- Previous youth discipleship experience preferred.
Job Data:
- Hours: 20-25 hours/week during the season. Off-season hours vary.
- Salary: $1,200
- Starting date: August 2025
