Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in litigation processes by preparing pleadings, motions, and other court documents while representing clients in court proceedings as needed.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and provide support in Family Law matters.
- Engage with clients to understand their legal needs, provide guidance, and maintain strong professional relationships throughout the legal process.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas to ensure the highest quality of legal service is provided.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and eligibility to practice law in North Dakota and Minnesota (willing to negotiate with recent graduate).
- Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research databases such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience or knowledge in Family Law preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in handling individual cases.
- A commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
