Colibri Ecological Consulting, which provides professional ecological consulting services to public, private, and non-profit clients, is seeking an experienced and career-minded Operations Manager to join our team. Under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for a broad range of sensitive and confidential administrative duties. In collaboration with the Senior Operations Manager, Team Leaders, and other company executives, the Operations Manager will perform and facilitate organizational, project related, and facilities support activities.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain dependability to ensure full in-person office support during regular business hours.
- Maintain a professional appearance and responsive communications with all staff, clients, and community partners.
- Perform operational processes including auditing daily time and expense reports and preparing bi-weekly payroll files.
- Assist with programmatic safety functions including managing staff training to achieve company objectives.
- Perform Human Resources related tasks including recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding team members.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of various events, such as staff meetings or company gatherings including communication, on the day coordination, post event duties, venue booking, etc.
- Ensure a clean and orderly office environment including supply storage and inventory controls, periodic equipment inventory, organization, and storage closet cleaning.
- Assist with managing the company vehicle fleet, including obtaining services, regular vehicle inspections, equipment inventories, and periodically washing and cleaning.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts to improve all core operational processes and standard operations procedures documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, human resources, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience and/or training in office management OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrable experience maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive organizational information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, various software, and computer systems.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks under the pressure of competing deadlines.
Position offers a competitive salary between $60,320 - $74,880 annually ($29-$36/hourly) with a generous Employee Benefits package.
